About Amanda
Amanda Mitton is the founder of RedefineHER and a People & Culture leader with experience across global organisations, high-growth startups and complex workplaces. Throughout her career in HR, she has worked closely with leaders to design systems that support people to do their best work and help organisations build strong, sustainable teams.
RedefineHER focuses on helping organisations better support employees through the transition to parenthood. Amanda works with leaders, HR teams and managers to improve the way workplaces approach parental leave, return-to-work transitions and flexible work. Through manager training, advisory services and organisational frameworks, the aim is to reduce psychosocial risk, retain experienced talent and create workplaces where working parents can continue to grow their careers.
Amanda founded RedefineHER after navigating her own experience of motherhood and the workplace. This prompted her to reflect on her years working in HR, where many of the patterns she had seen across organisations suddenly became clear. The challenges many women face when returning to work after becoming mothers are not isolated incidents — they are systemic. RedefineHER was created to help organisations rethink how they support working parents and to ensure that becoming a parent doesn’t mean stepping away from opportunity.
